WP3 Cell & Stack Design

Partners involved in this WP : Wetsus, MIB, PWR, UGR, REDstack, Mast Carbon

Overall objective is to design an efficient cell and stack. Efficient means efficient with respect to power density and exhaustion of the potential mixing energy. These are in a general sense conflicting requirements. It is thus necessary to obtain insight in this relationship. In addition the hydrodynamics are of prime importance to prevent unnecessary power loss and unwanted mixing of the water. For that our work will focus on:

- Development of EcCM and DcCM Flow Cell Configurations
- Development of alternative Cell configurations
- Stack Design -internal leakages & parasitic currents
- Operational issues on cycling frequencies and efficiency
